April 30, 2017 – Completed Art Projects!

I’ve finally gotten around to finishing (and starting) some of my art projects this weekend! The first one to display is a Van Gogh reproduction I’ve been working on (on and off) for a while: Wheat Field with Cypress. I used alcohol-based marker on smooth bristol, and it was my first actual piece using markerĀ (outside of a couple tests).

Next, I finished a painting I had started a while ago and gave up on. I essentially went back and brought it up to a spot where I didn’t want to touch it anymore; I’m not happy with it either way, but it’s in a state of completion now. Acrylic on canvas.

Lastly, I started and finished a painting that I’m a little on the fence on. I like some elements of it, but I don’t know how I feel overall. I likely could have done a bit better on the composition of it as well as the detail work in some areas. Acrylic on canvas.
